Ode to California, Part Two

In my previous post, I expressed a love for California. I want to continue the conversation that is the magic of the coastal Big Sur area. We stayed in Monterey, right downtown and were awakened and caressed into slumber by stunning sunrises and sunsets. We walked to a delightful breakfast place called First Awakenings and drove the coast, enjoying the Big Sur Bakery, Carmel, Route 1, and the otherworldly landscape of Pfeiffer Beach. As a must see area, consider traveling there in late October, early November, when the weather is sublime, the crowds are sparse, and the scenery is fantastic!
