Gratitude in the Air

Putting up the Christmas tree the day after Thanksgiving allows that window of grace when you really get to reflect on the past year and what Thanksgiving means in your own life. It helps as you remember friends and family as you add ornaments to the tree. Your thoughts naturally go something like, "oh remember when we visited here, what a great trip"; oh how lovely, this is a great ornament from Aunt Colleen; "oh cool, these vintage shiny brite ornaments from Ed are so cool and really add to our collection". I am grateful for everyone who leant an ear during a year in which it was easy to have dark thoughts and unsure of the year's outcome, who lifted us up time and time again, and who helped us remember who we are and how much we are loved and love others. I am grateful for each and every person who is an integral part of our lives and look forward to sharing more adventures and stories in 2021.
