What I Have Been Reading

I have talked about all of these titles on my You Tube show. The only one that is new is Dream Big by Bob Goff.  I have been a big fan of Bob Goff's for quite some time.  When he published his first book, Love Does, I was skeptical (not a huge fan of books that have a religious bias)...but I saw how his book led people to actually use Love Does to enact change in a real way.  The person who originally recommended his book was a director of a hospice organization.  We were together at an event to open a new hospice residence. Toward the end of the event, her mother gave a significant check (for her) to hospice.  Her daughter was surprised and the mom simply said: Love Does.  It was one of those wow moments that has stuck with me since 2013.  It changed how my husband and I decide on which causes or charities to give to.  Dream Big is his latest book and follows on this same inspirational path but more in line with following your own dreams.  It seems so common sense but after having read his earlier books, I have a better understanding on how he thinks and lives.  He lives what he writes about and honors the bigger themes in life. He implores us to go after our dreams and that we know it as well as the people who love us know it.  It is simply time.
